BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha is a spiritual, volunteer-driven fellowship. It is dedicated to improving society through individual growth while fostering Hindu values of faith, service and global harmony.
In 2018, the North American youth wing hosted a convention in Atlanta, GA for over 3,000 youths and over 500 volunteers. Live programs were created to teach kids about cultivating morals and values, among other important lessons. This musical followed that same standard to teach youths about perseverance and the power of prayer.
A musical production was something we had never done before in past conventions. I was fortunate to play a key role in its development and direction. My responsibilities included scripting, costumes, lighting and props.
